How to Join Our Church Family
We are excited that you are prayerfully considering becoming a member of Union Baptist Church. Should you decide to do so, you may join in one of four ways --
CANDIDATE FOR BAPTISM
If you have never been baptized but have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, you may join as a candidate for baptism.
REINSTATEMENT
If you are a former member of Union Baptist Church and you wish to rejoin, you may reinstate your membership.
BY LETTER
If you are a former member of another Baptist Church and have a letter of introduction from that church, you may join by letter.
UNDER CHRISTIAN EXPERIENCE
If you have been baptized but have no church affiliation or letter of introduction, you may join under your Christian Experience.
In each case, you may start the process of becoming a member of Union Baptist Church by:
- Coming forward when the Pastor extends the invitation to discipleship at the conclusion of a Sunday worship service or
- Completing and submitting the New Member Registration Form by clicking on the link below
If you come forward when the Pastor extends the invitation to discipleship, a member of Union's ministerial team will pray with you, collect some information, and provide you with details on the next steps. If you complete and submit the New Member Registration Form, a representative from the New Members Ministry will contact you shortly.
All candidates for membership are required to attend a Discipleship class and two (2) Church Member Classes. Candidates who have been baptized at either Union Baptist Church or another Baptist church and who have completed the required classes are eligible to receive the Right Hand of Fellowship.
